What started out as a few friends getting together to play guitar and sing a few songs turned into one of
the areas most popular bands from 1993 - 1996. Matt Marchand introduced Scott Stauffer with Matt Bullock and the original
trio was formed. Shortly after that they were introduced to Mark Melbourne, Kerry Renfro and Jim Jordan and the band took
off. They managed to scrape up enough money to buy a PA and a "band van" to haul it around in and started playing out. Although
2 or 3 years doesn't seem like a long time - they definitely were busy playing nearly every weekend. -- Kerry quit in 1995
to fulfill a healthy family life and the band continued on, adding Frank Smith on drums and singer Brenda Rebout. In 1997
it all came to an end - until now. Matt Bullock's 40th birthday celebration will reunite the "original" Blue Steel for the
first time in 10 years.
